It is the result of a long business career started in 1972, by Baldomero Monteverde and his two sons Baldomero and Fernando.
Baldomero Monteverde was employed in the shipyards of Gibraltar (Dockyard), and its function was to supply oil to the ships anchored in the bay, by means of the barges of the British Ministry of Defence.

Baldomero Monteverde Jnr has been and continues to be the engine behind the Company’s success. - “this is not a Company, this is my life” - An abundance of passion, dedication and experience through the years have been his key contributions to Monteverde & Sons, seeing his Company grow to become the largest Construction Plant and Transport Company in Gibraltar. His persistence in achieving long time success and visions of potential business opportunities keep him always on the front foot eager to progress in any of his ambitions. The Company’s image and reputation holds firmly within his main priorities, and this has set what we describe as the ‘Monteverde Standard’ in any of our future endeavours.
Director
One of four siblings, Giovanni Monteverde is the one in line to carry the torch during the next generation. Having been exposed to the Construction Industry since very young, Giovanni’s entrepreneurial genes have kept him tied to follow in his father’s footsteps. Having his father as mentor and appreciating his efforts and dedication, Giovanni has taken his role as Director as his focus. His genuine demeaner and eagerness to always offer a helping hand has seen Giovanni prove instrumental in much of the Company’s recent success stories. His ambitions and constant visionary ideas are fundamental to Monteverde and Sons future and is thus gearing towards a successful career as leader of the Monteverde Group.
Quality Assurance Manager
The oldest of siblings, Aaron known for his Pianist background recently joined his family business full time. Being part of the family and recognising the importance of his father’s efforts, Aaron makes sure that standards are kept. His passion to safeguard all aspects of infrastructure is evident in his day to day tasks and his eagerness to implement innovative ideas is constant. Aaron is also a key member in ensuring the Monteverde Group’s sustainability and future.
General Manager
Jason has been part of Monteverde & Sons Ltd for over thirty years. He’s played an instrumental part in the Company navigating through its years of hard work. As General Manager, he’s managed to keep the Company a success story with his day-to-day dealings and orchestrating the effective deployment of our services. Again, a genuine person who’s always willing to keep customers happy and make sure Monteverde and Sons ltd is kept as the Client’s Company of choice for any Construction Services. A key player in the successful execution of many major projects in Gibraltar with ample experience in the field.
Baldomero’s Son In-Law employed in 2015. Carl was brought into the family business at a key stage of expansion and innovation. With experience of having worked in the Civil Service within the Construction Sector, Carl provided a more modern and cost-effective approach to administration in general. He is involved in the Company’s day to day endeavours and as part of the Executive Team brings his knowledge to the table contributing to the Company’s success. His Father In-Laws efforts, sacrifice and mentoring are notable in his actions and is a person of confidence and loyal to stand by Giovanni’s side and assist him with the future of the Monteverde Group.
Commercial Manager
Manuel is the Company’s Commercial Director and also a key member of the Group. His expertise in Environmental Solutions and Waste Treatment have been paramount in Monteverde & Sons ability to maintain the service to export Gibraltar’s refuse.
He is actively involved in the Group’s day to day ommercial decisions and his dedication and professionalism is well recognised within the sector. He has helped the Group grow and expand into other sectors in recent years. A relentless individual in his endeavours and a loyal figure to the family.
Ernesto was originally employed as a machine operator; however, his IT background was put to good use when he was asked to join the Office Team. His abilities and efforts where recognised and was promoted to Office Manager. Ernesto is a key role within the Office and assists Joe with the day-to-day bookkeeping of the accounts. A hard-working and loyal individual recognised by the Family.
Company Accountant
Joe has been the Company’s Accountant since the very beginning and has seen the evolution of the Company’s growth to the business it is today. The voice of experience which keeps the business at bay and carries the enormous burden of maintaining financial discipline – as accountants do. Joe has been instrumental in Monteverde & Sons Ltd and continues to be a very respectable member of our team.
